Terms of Service
Effective September 29, 2026
- Keep your API keys secret: usage on your keys is billed to you.
- The first $5 of usage is free. After that, add a card or subscribe to keep going.
- Prices come from third-party public files. They are information, not a quote or medical advice.
- The service is provided as is.
Agreement
By creating an account or using the TiC Explorer site, console, API or MCP server (the “service”), you agree to these terms. If you use it for an organization, you agree on its behalf.
Accounts and keys
Keep your sign-in and API keys confidential. You are responsible for all requests made with your keys and the AI apps you authorize. Revoke a key in the console if you think it has leaked.
Pricing and billing
- Each account gets $5 of free usage, once. When it runs out, requests return “payment required” until you add a card or subscribe.
- Pay as you go: usage is billed monthly for the previous month, with no cap.
- Monthly: a fixed monthly fee includes a set amount of usage; usage beyond it is billed monthly. Unused usage does not roll over.
- Current prices are on the pricing page and in your console. Price changes apply to new requests only.
- If a payment fails, access pauses until it succeeds.
- Cancel the monthly plan at any time and it ends with the current period. Stopping pay as you go takes effect at once, with a final invoice for usage so far.
- Charges are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. You are responsible for applicable taxes.
The data
Prices come from files published by health plans and hospitals and from public Medicare data. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and they are not a quote or a guarantee of what anyone will pay. Nothing in the service is medical, legal, financial or insurance advice. Check important decisions with the plan or provider.
Acceptable use
- Don’t break the law or help others do so.
- Don’t get around billing, rate limits or security, or share keys to let others do so.
- Don’t overload or disrupt the service.
- Don’t send protected health information or other personal details about patients in queries.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
Ownership
We own the service and its software. The price files and Medicare data belong to their publishers. You may use the results you receive in your own products, subject to these terms.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We’ll give reasonable notice of changes that affect paid plans.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted operation.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may end access for a breach of these terms. Unpaid charges remain due.
Changes to these terms
We’ll post changes here with a new effective date. Continuing to use the service means you accept them.
